Erica Sharpe has painted and drawn from an early age. Sketches are often the starting point of her jewellery designs.

Erica has been a professional jeweller and artist for over 30 years. but when not working in precious metals, she paints and draws in water colours and graphite.

The wilderness, natural environment, landscape, flora and fauna are intrinsic to her life and work. Forever exploring, trekking and wandering, she creates from a place of immediacy and mindful observation rather than preconceived ideas.

Finalist in the 2014 David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year, Erica’s watercolours and drawings explore the authenticity of a subject, revealing the often unseen story, and key elements of its nature.
