Commissions

When a piece of jewellery has been created especially for you, it has a significance beyond its material value. Here are some reasons for commissions I have undertaken:

• Individual expression
Many people commission pieces as a treat for themselves. And of course, jewellery has been given as a token of love since time immemorial.
• To commemorate an event
such as a wedding or civil partnership, a special birthday, graduation, promotion or religious event.
• As an heirloom
It’s great fun to start your own jewellery collection, adding to it year by year. Also, a birthstone makes a beautiful gift – either set in jewellery, or unset, for the recipient to have made into a piece of their choosing.
• In remembrance
Your inspiration might be a certain type of architecture, or colours, flowers, a song … there’s no limit to what can be expressed in jewellery.
• To complement an outfit
From a wedding dress, to business suit, to jeans and t-shirt!
